My teaching philosophy is very simple. I strive for a balanced mix of technique and theory. I encourage improvisation and try to nurture a space of creativity. Once a student has learned the basics of technique, they can pick a song of their liking to start working on. It can be a classical piece of music or a pop/rock song where they can also sing along. The most important thing is to have fun along the way. Reading music is optional.

Classes are offered for all levels and ages in the following areas:

GUITAR: Classical guitar, acoustic guitar (steel string), bass guitar and electric guitar

KEYBOARD: Basic keyboard skills, synthesizer skills (architecture and synth programming)

COMPOSITION: Basics of composition, traditional and modern, learning and operating modern Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) techniques with an emphasis on Cubase 12

STUDIO TECHNIQUES: How to capture and process sound for the best results. 

MUSIC THEORY: The basics or advanced music theory

 Studio is located in Katy, TX near Seven Lakes High School.

Rates:

30 min lesson (recommended for students under the age of 12): $35 in studio (in person or online) and $55 in your home

 

60 min lesson: $60 in studio (in person or online) and $80 in your home

Weekly lessons are recommended.
